Relieved to have found a landscaping company that was not only responsive, but prompt to complete the job. The owner was personable and honest. Approximately 5 months after the purchasing of my new home, hurricane Irene hit and caused a large amount of water to flow into the part of the house that sits lower. SLS recommended installing a French drain. The installation required cutting through the cement pavement and digging approximately 300 feet to the lowest part of the yard. The installation was started within a week of receiving the quote. The entire job took less than 48 hours to complete. Once the grass regrows, I am sure you won't even be able to tell where it was installed. Anxious to see the effectiveness of the French drain after a big rain storm. I also had questions about mulch versus pine needles, and had issues with making a payment through their website. The owner was very accommodating and added the cost to the original quote instead. The pine needles were delivered and installed at the completion of the original job. Last Friday night almost 3" of rain fell in a short period of time and while the drain was overwhelmed, and the water rose alarmingly close to the bottom of my courtyard door, it did not overwhelm the threshold. When the rain slowed for a bit, the water drained enough so that when it came roaring back the level was close enough to the ground that it wasn't in danger of breaching again. Last year he installed French drains on our property because we were dealing with major flooding. Every time it rained the yard was out of commission for a week… now by the next day the yard it’s dried out. It’s so nice to be able to enjoy our yard again. Recently I needed some repairs done to my irrigation system and I called him up he came out quickly and helped me out for a very reasonable price. Responsive, honest, knowledgeable and fair! Highly recommend!
